A comprehensive view of the academic programmes at LCB
Prospective students should complete the application form which is available from the downloads section, then after completing it and then checking it carefully, forward it to the college at the email address admissions@lcbuk.org.

How your application will be considered
Your application will be assessed initially on the basis of the information you submitted on the application form. It is therefore, important that you complete this form carefully, so that it is both accurate and that you explain clearly why you wish to undertake the particular programme, what relevant experience you have and why you think you should be given a place. In most cases your candidacy for the program will be considered on the basis of your application form alone. There is no guarantee of interview. According to the situation, the college may consider having a telephone interview or personal interview if feasible.

Availability of Programmes
Applicants should note that while programmes are updated periodically, some revision might be made, either as a result of academic development or due to external constraints. Specialisation pathways are run on the basis of the minimum number of students opting to study for that pathway. Such quotas are set by the university and college accademic boards. Applicants should make enquiries with the college whether a particular pathway will be running in the coming semester or not.

Eligibility Criteria
Normally for entry into an undergraduate program, one should have completed 12 years of formal, full-time education and for a post-graduate program, a degree in the relevant branch of study. If there are specific entry requirements for any program, these are given in the respective section for that program.

Standard entrance requirements, in addition to the above, include English Language competency, judged sufficient to undertake advanced level study, equivalent to an IELTS score of at least 6.5 for post-graduate study, or 6.0 for undergraduate.

Applicants should note that possession of the minimum entry criteria does not in itself guarantee admission. If you have questions about the acceptability of your qualifications or your eligibility for a given program, please contact the Admission’s Office, providing as much information as possible, including photocopies of diplomas or certificates along with transcripts and translations if applicable.

For University of Wales programmes, students will need to be successfully matriculated. Please see Student Matriculation for more details.

Formal requirements for enrolment

By enrolling, you accept and agree to the regulations and rules of the college. If you are not formally exempt from certain entry requirements, you will not be allowed to enrol unless you produce original documentary evidence of having satisfied each of those requirements. You will be advised of the arrangements for enrolment and induction once your place is confirmed.

Regulations
As a Student of the college you will be bound by a set of regulations including the Code of Conduct, written in the Student Handbooks. These are available from the downloads section and the admissions office. Requests should be made in person or by emailing enquiries@lcbuk.org.

Good Standing
Students are expected to remain in good standing, that is, to submit work in a timely manner, to advise the college promptly of any likely prolonged absences from study, to submit work of an acceptable standard, to pay tuition and other fees on time, and to act responsibly in all communications with the college. Gross or repeated breaches of good standing (including issuing uncleared cheques) may constitute grounds for dismissal from the programme of study, in which case, any tuition fees or other fees already paid will be retained by the college.

Attendance
A record of attendance will be maintained for each student. All students are expected to attend their classes according to their timetables and required number of hours. A student may not be allowed to take an exam if he/she has attendance of the classes below 80% of required hours. In case of extenuating circumstances the college must be informed immediately to seek an advice. In case of an illness of three days or more, a medical certificate from the General Practitioner (GP) with whom the student is registered, will be necessary. Extra classes may be necessary to complete the shortages, and these may incur an extra cost.

Examination Entry
In order to be entered for module exams, students are required to have fulfilled their attendance requirements and have no outstanding financial obligations.
