The London College of Business aims to provide an environment that assists students in achieving their goals. To that end facilities are made available to make the students’ campus life comfortable and conducive to study from their arrival until program completion.
Our own libraries are well stocked and up to
date. The world of business is a dynamic
and changing environment. As lecturers,
who are experts in their field, recommend
new books, we waste no time filling the
library’s shelves to ensure that students have access to the resources that they need to complete their studies.
As a member of the University of Wales,
students have access to the university’s
‘Global Campus’ and the ‘Online Library’.
The Online Library provides a wide range
of full-text peer-reviewed resources
organised by subject, containing a mixture
of databases, e-journals, e-books and other
useful gateways and links. For example,
Business Source Premier is a large
database of more than 1,000 business
and economics journals, containing the full
text from the world’s top management and
marketing journals including Business Week,
Forbes, Harvard Business Review etc., as
well as detailed company profiles for the
world’s 10,000 largest companies.
The college works towards providing an environment for the students to feel at home, so that they do not experience alienation in new surroundings. Advisors are on hand to confidentially help students deal with study difficulties, isolation, anxiety, relationship & family problems.
Staff Members, Welfare Officer, Programme Coordinators or Programme Administrators are all available to offer assistance with general matters of adjusting to life as a student, such as opening a bank account, registering with a doctor, or dealing with immigration problems. Students can also consult lecturers, tutors and programme directors before choosing which program to study.
Our students have access to many internet connected computers while the college is open. The majority of the computing resources in the college are based around Personal Computers running Microsoft software. The equipment is appropriate to the levels required to support professional, research & postgraduate work as well as undergraduate courses.
