Certificates and Diplomas
Certificates and Diplomas and are taught programmes that usually last eight to sixteen months. Undergraduate certificates and diplomas are composed of levels four and five modules of the bachelors degree, respectively. Hence, they can serve as an interim award for those who do not wish to complete the level six modules. Post-graduate certificates and diplomas are the first and second semesters of the MBA programme, respectively, so they can serve as interim awards for students who do not wish to complete a dissertation.
Taught Bachelors & Masters Degrees
At the London College of Business these include the BA(Hons) degree in Business Administration with Finance and Information Systems Pathways at Bachelors level, which last for two years, and the MBA with seven different pathways at Masters level, which can be studied full-time for one year, or part-time over two years. The taught element of these programmes are composed of a combination of seminars, tutorials, lectures, coursework, assignments, laboratory work and personal study.
The BA(Hons) degree in Business Administration degrees include a project / dissertation writeup in the final semester. The MBA requires writing a dissertation on an original business research.
The projects and dissertations are supervised, not taught, however, the techniques required to undertake the research and write-up the results are taught as part of the Research Methods modules on both the bachelors and masters degree programmes.
